In this article we share our visit experience of Sri CheluvaNarayanaSwamy temple at Melukote , a town in Mandya district which attracts with its serene beauty and historic spots - 150 kms from Bangalore.
In this continued second article , we cover the internal architecture of the temple and its beautiful carvings. It seems to be a combination of both Hoysala and Vijanayanagar kings art of construction . Each stone pillar has a story to tell with fine carvings . As this is a Vaishnava temple , different forms / avatars of lord vishnu , sages are carved. A big hats off to the arts men who had crafted such a long lasting master piece.
