In this post , we cover one of our awesome weekend trips to Bheemeshwari Cauvery Wildlife sanctuary about 100kms from Bangalore near Kanakapura.
Our team wanted to explore the scenic nature spots near Kanakapura district which is about 50kms from Bangalore. They started their journey from Bangalore , reached Kanakapura in an hour along the NH209 highway , had a great breakfast at Srinivasa Hotel near Kanakapura Circle.
We covered one side of the sanctuary via route Kanakapura NH 209 -> Sathanur -> Sanctuary check post -> Muthathi -> Bheemeshwari -> Hagalaur -> Kanakapura NH 209 covering about 50 kms , Well maintained by government forest department and safe for adventure.

- Spotting forest animals - Elephants , Deers , Monkeys , Mongoose etc . We managed to see only few
- Cauvery River side flow - good for Swimming and picnic games
- Lush green landscapes and view spots
- Village temples at Muthati - Paadhare Hanuman and Muthati Anjaneya swamy temples
- Bheemeshwari Jungle Resort stay
Best time to visit this spot is between September to December.
