In this post , we share our team's visit experience to one of the old temples "VenugopalaSwamy temple" inside the Devanahalli fort near Bangalore at Devanahalli , which is about 35 kms to the north of Bangalore.

This temple built in stones is about 150 mts from the Devanahalli fort entrance and is believed to be existing since the period of Vijayanagar Kings. The sculptures of this temple is believed to be comparable with Belur and halebeedu temples. Temple has 3 sanctums supported by lovely carved pillars , Lord Krishna Idol in the form of Venugopala in standing form is erected , accompanied by lakshmi devi idols.

Extending to about half acre , the environment inside the temple is very peaceful and silent , making it a good place to meditate and worship. Beautiful artwork & scriptures on the temple pillars and walls showcases the interest of our ancestors and creativity. Carvings depict krishna's childhood , Ramayana , Dancing female figures and musicians.

Managed under Government of Karnataka , temple is well maintained with necessary renovations and devotee visit satisfaction is guaranteed.Overall a nice temple to visit with your family and friends , If you happen to pass by BIAL airport or Hyderabad highway , this is one of the must visit spots.Temple is open between 7 AM to 12 PM and in the evening between 5.30 to 7.30 PM.
