ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಾಸ್ತರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಜೀವನದ ಸತ್ಯ ಹೇಳುವ ಅರ್ಥಗರ್ಭಿತ ಕಥೆ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂತು. ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಯಿತು. ಓದಿ ನಿಮಗೂ ಇಷ್ಟ ಆಗಬಹುದು.
ಮರಳುಗಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಗೊಂಪಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಭಾರೀ ಮರಳುಗಾಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಗುಂಪಿನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾದ. ದಾರಿ ಕಾಣದೆ ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದ. ಜನವಸತಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಹೊರಟ. ಆದರೆ ಎತ್ತ ನೋಡಿದರೂ ಮರಳೇ ಮರಳು. ದಾರಿ ಕಾಣದಾದ. ಅಲೆದು ಅಲೆದು ಸುಸ್ತಾದ. ಆತನ ಬಳಿ ಇದ್ದ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರೂ ಖಾಲಿ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ನೆತ್ತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಸುಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಕೆಳಗೆ ಮರಳು ಕಾದ ಕೆಂಡವಾಗಿತ್ತು ನಡೆದು
ನಡೆದು ಮೈಯಿಂದ ಬೆವರು ಇಳಿದು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ನಿತ್ರಾಣನಾದ. ಇನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ನೀರು ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವ ಹೋಗುವುದು ಖಚಿತ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡ. ಕೊನೆ ಉಸಿರಿರುವ ತನಕ ದಾರಿ ಹುಡುಕುವ ಛಲದಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಭಾರ ಹಾಕಿ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸರಿ ಎನಿಸಿದ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನತ್ತ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕಿದ. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರ ನಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಪಾಳು ಮನೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗೆ ನೀರು ಸಿಗಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದ ಅತ್ತ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ
ಹಾಕಿದ. ನೀರು, ಆಹಾರ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿತ್ರಾಣನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟು ದೂರ ನಡೆಯುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸುಸ್ತಾಗಿ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದ, ಆದರೂ ಕೊನೆಯ ಆಸರೆ ಆ ಪಾಳು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕೀತು ಎಂದು ತೆವಳುತ್ತಾ ಸಾಗಿದ. ಕಷ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟು ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಮುರಿದ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತಳ್ಳಿ ಒಳಹೋದ. ಕಾದ ನೆಲ, ಸುಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಂದಂತೂ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ದೊರಕಿತು. ಒಳ ಹೋದ ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ತನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ನೀರು ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆಯೇ ಎಂದು ಹುಡುಕಾಡಿದ.
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ನೀರೆತ್ತುವ ಯಂತ್ರ ಇತ್ತು, ಆ ಯಂತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪೈಪ್ ಜೋಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪಂಪ್ ತಿರುಗಲು ಚಕ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಚಕ್ರ ತಿರುಗಿಸಲು ಹ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ನೀರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದ. ಚಕ್ರ ತಿರುಗಿತು, ಮೋಟರ್ ಸಹ ತಿರುಗಿತಾದರೂ ಪೈಪ್ ನಿಂದ ನೀರು ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಚಕ್ರ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಸುಸ್ತಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ. ಬೇರೆಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ನೀರು ಸಿಗುವುದೇ ಎಂದು ಹುಡುಕಿದ. ಆ
ಪಾಳು ಮನೆಯ ಮೂಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಬಾಟಲಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೀರು ಆವಿ ಆಗದಂತೆ ಮುಚ್ಚಳ ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸದ್ಯ ಬದುಕಿದೆಯಾ ಬಡಜೀವ ಎಂದು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಆ ಬಾಟಲ್ ಮುಚ್ಚಳ ತೆಗೆದ, ಇನ್ನೇನು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವಾಗ, ಬಾಟಲಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಂಟಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಚೀಟಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಬರೆದಿತ್ತು. ನೀವು ಈ ನೀರನ್ನು ಯಂತ್ರದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಫನಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ. ನಂತರ ಗಾಲಿ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ನೀರು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಬಳಿಕ ಮರೆಯದೆ ಈ ಬಾಟಲಿಗೂ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಳ ಮುಚ್ಚಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮಂತೆ ನೀರು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಬರುವವರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಸಹಾಯ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಗೊಂದಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದ. ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದೋ, ಇಲ್ಲ ಚೀಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಫನಲ್ ಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಗಾಲಿ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನೀರು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುವುದೋ ಎಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದ. ಆಕಸ್ಮಾತ್
ಹಳೆಯ ಪಂಪ್ ನಿಂದ ನೀರು ಬಾರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವುದು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದೇ ಬಿಡೋಣ ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡ. ಈ ನೀರು ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತು ಇರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಈಗ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿದರೂ ನಾನು ಜನವಸತಿ ಹುಡುಕಿ ಹೊರಟರೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೀರಡಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಯುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ. ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನೀರು ಸಿಕ್ಕರೆ ಬಾಟಲಿ, ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ದೃಢ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿ ಬಾಟಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಪಂಪ್ ನ ಫನಲ್ ಮುಚ್ಚಳ ತೆರೆದು ಹಾಕಿದ, ಗಾಲಿ
ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದ ಯಥೇಚ್ಛವಾಗಿ ನೀರು ಬಂತು. ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆಯಾಸ ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ. ತನ್ನ ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿಸಿದ. ಆ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಗೂ ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿ ಆ ಚೀಟಿಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಈ ಯಂತ್ರ ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿದರೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂಜಿಕೆ ಬೇಡ ಎಂಬ ಸಾಲು ಸೇರಿಸಿದ. ಬಳಿಕ ಇನ್ನೇನು ಹೊರಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆಗೆದಾಗ ಆ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಹಿಂದೆ ಜನವಸತಿಗೆ ಸಾಗುವ ದಾರಿ ತೋರುವ ನಕ್ಷೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು. ಆ ನಕ್ಷೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಊರು
ಸೇರಿದ.
ನಾವು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತಾಶರಾಗಬಾರದು. ಕೊನೆ ಕ್ಷಣದವರೆಗೂ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. (ಭಾರತ -ಬಾಂಗ್ಲಾದೇಶದ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊನೆ ಎಸೆತದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಂತೆ) ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮಿಗಿಲಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಈ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಸಮಾಜ ಏನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಬೇಕು. ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ತಾನು ಇದ್ದ ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯದೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯಥೇಚ್ಛ ನೀರು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. ಮತ್ತೆ ಆತ ಬಾಟಲಿಗೆ ನೀರು
ತುಂಬಿಸಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರುವವರಿಗೂ ಅದು ನೆರವಾಗುವಂತಾಯಿತು. ನಾವು ಸದಾ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಚಿಂತನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಬದುಕು ಬಂಗಾರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದರೆ ಬದುಕು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. - ಇಷ್ಟುವಾದರೆ ಶೇರ್ ಮಾಡಿ -
