- Balance your diet - Take a reduced calorie diet which is rich in vegetables and whole grains. Substitute whole milk products with skimmed milk and cook with unsaturated vegetable oil
- Heart Workout - Regular program of aerobic exercise like walking , jogging , running or swimming. Schedule at least three sessions a week of at-least 30 minutes. Reduce obesity

- Control BP - Hypertension makes the heart work harder to move blood through the body. If you get short of breath when you exert dont ignore it, consult your doctor today. Address Hypertension with proper diet , exercise and medication
- Control diabetes - Check for diabetes today particularly if there is family history. If you have diabetes keep it under check. Remember diabetes multiplies your risk of heart disease
- Reduce Stress - Chronic stress can increase the risk of heart disease, spend time with yourself and choose things that make you happy. Sleep well.
