In this article , we share our visit experience to Koti Lingeshwara temple near KGF - about 80 kms from Bengaluru City.

Rather than a historical spot , its a tourist spot , where one gets to see thousands of Shivalingas . The founder when he constructed this temple had a vision to consecrate 1 crore shiva lingas making it one of the unique worship spots. Devotees keep donating shiva lingas when they perform pooja here & counts are ever increasing.
There is an entrance fee of Rs.20 per head , parking fee of Rs.30 for vehicles. Darshan is well organised with queue system where one gets a good view of all the sanctums , idols and other main attractions. Idols of Manjunatha , Venkateshwara , Ganesha , Parvathi , Brahma were seen.
Local villagers believe by tying a sacred thread on a shiv ling flower tree , those who are looking forward for their child birth are sure of receiving blessings from lord. There are shiv lingas which are imported from other states , Kashi etc. Free lunch is served between 12 PM to 3 PM for visitors.
Temple is open between 9 AM to evening 6 PM. A good tourist spot to visit once in a lifetime. Do visit this spot and share your experience with us.
