In this article , we share our visit experience to Someshwara temple , Mulabagilu about 100 kms from Bengaluru
It was a Sunday after covering Ramalingeshwara temple we headed towards Mulabagilu , on the way we had planned to cover this spot. When we reached it was around 12 PM , luckily priest was just about to close and we got the darshan.
Believed to exist for more than 1000 years , temple has 3 sanctums . In the inner most sanctum Shiva linga of about 1 feet is worshiped. Temple structure resemble cholas style construction with a Dwaja stambha right in front . There are mantaps surrounding the temple area , a small kalyani pond which needs renovation
Temple is open between 8 AM to 11 AM and at evenings between 6 PM to 7.30 PM for darshan. A nice calm place to visit during your stay at Mulbagilu
