In this post we share our visit experience to Muninagara Lake Dam , about 60 kms from Bengaluru city
- Muninagara is a small village in the circumference of RagiHalli forests behind Bannerghatta
- Lake stretches to almost 30 to 40 acres as a major source for water to nearby villages
- A small dam was earlier active which is not operational now
Shallow waters of the lake is the best attraction at this spot. Swimming at the lake basins are allowed . This spot is slowly gaining popularity for its peaceful scenic environment behind the RagiHalli forest.
Our team took the long route from Bannerghatta - Harohalli road passing through the village roads and forest areas . There is also a trail road inside Ragihalli forest , due to pandemic times this entrance was blocked which forced to take the long route. On return we took the Kaggalipura - bannerghatta road which offered good views.
Village people are very friendly and guide visitors about the spot. There are very less shops inside village . So its recommended travelers carry sufficient food items when reaching here.
One of the nice weekend spots to enjoy with family and friends on a picnic . Do visit this spot and share us your experience.
