In a welcoming news to city bus commuters , Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has issued a circular on reduction in bus travel fare and bus pass rates of its Vajra air conditioned bus services with a reduction of upto 35%
The rate of daily bus pass rate in Vajra vehicles is reduced from Rs.120 to Rs.100. Also the monthly pass rate has been reduced from Rs.2000/- per month to Rs.1500/- per month.
Vajra bus services fare effective during Dec 2021
- 2 kms - Rs.10
- 4 kms - Rs.15
- 6 kms - Rs.20
- 8 kms to 10 kms - Rs.25
- 12 kms to 14 kms - Rs.30
- 16 kms to 22 kms - Rs.35
- 24 kms to 30 kms - Rs.40
- 32 kms to 40 kms - Rs.45
- 42 kms to 50 kms - Rs.50
- Ticket fare for ordinary month pass holder to travel in Vajra - Rs.25
- Ticket fare for senior citizen holding ordinary month pass holder to travel in Vajra - Rs.25
BMTC mentioned presently about 83 AC Vajra buses operating on 9 routes , will get extended to 12 more routes with the introduction of 90 more Vajra buses .
