Budigere in Devanahalli Taluk is a small town in the outskirts of Bengaluru , about 50 kms from the city center. This spot is gaining traction and importance from Sai Baba mandir located inside the Budigere village.
We visited this spot on a Saturday evening taking the Palace road , Yelahanka highway passing through diversion towards Budigere. Once we reached the village , we took the narrow road of about half a kilometer lead to this temple.
As mandir is located in the residential area surrounded by many houses , there was less dedicated parking area , we managed to park our car and entered the temple lane. From the outset , temple gave us a very peaceful feel with complete silence. After washing our hands and feet we entered the sanctum.
We were mesmerized with the Sai Baba Idol which many said it resembled Shirdi Sai baba temple idol. This temple was constructed in the nineties and was renovated after few years. The mantap was absolutely silent with peaceful vibes all around.
To our luck we reached at the time when the pooja was just starting , after playing the conch aarti was perfomed to the idol which was very blissful to experience. We offered flowers , took darshan and visited other mantaps of the temple where we took darshan of shiva linga , dattathreya idols , photos of various religious gurus. There is also a meditation hall on the first floor.
The temple management arrange for prasads from Shirdi sai baba temple . There is also a store merchandise covering books , devotional music and pooja items for devotees.
We noticed many devotees visiting this temple purchasing biscuits at nearby shops and offering to pet dogs near the temple. It is believed Sai Baba used to offer animals food and enjoyed feeding them.
Overall a very nice temple peaceful destination to visit with family and friends. On the way back in the village , there was a snacks store where we tasted very nice onion samosas , mirchi bondas a must try snacks at this spot. Temple is open from morning 6.30 AM till 9 PM everyday.
