In this post , we share our visit experience to Sri Kambada Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Kamsandra about 25 kms from city center.
Highlights about this temple
- Old temple believed to be existing since Cholas period
- Narasimha Swamy and Lakshmi worshiped here
- Chariot festivals conducted every year
- Temple has 3 sanctums with Dwaja stambha
It was in the afternoon when we visited this spot. Welcomed by a bull and cow herd at entrance , we took a view of the majestic Gopuram of the temple and the Dwaja stambha pillar in front of entrance. On entering inside , the temple mantap sanctum gave a glimpse of typical cholas style construction . The ambience inside was mesmerizing with silence. There was less crowd during our visit , we took darshan of the majestic Idol which may be around 4 feet in standing position along with idol of Lakshmi. Beside the temple sanctum are Naga stones where special poojas are conducted during Nagara panchami.
Temple is open for darshan everyday from morning 6 AM to 1 PM at noon and evening around 5 PM to 8 PM , may vary during weekends and special occasions. Overall a very nice temple to visit with your friends and family.
