Roopanthara is a thought-provoking anthology that weaves together five interconnected stories. Each tale explores self-transformation, metamorphosis, and the impact of our choices on life and death. The film is set in a dystopian future, where an old man's life hangs in the balance as he narrates these compelling stories to save himself from a gun-wielding thug.

Raj not only portrays the lead character but also contributes as a masterful storyteller by writing the dialogues and additional screenplay. Played by Jai Shankar, Shivamma's encounter with the goon sets off a tragic chain of events. Somshekhar Bolegaon and Hanumakka , their journey to fulfill the wife's wishes takes unexpected turns. Lekha Naidu  , falsely accused of kidnapping, Lekha's character faces the complexities of the police system. Bharath GB , A new recruit at the police station, Bharath witnesses the harsh realities of law enforcement. Anjan Bharadhwaj - Addicted to drugs and online gaming, Anjan's story mirrors the struggles of modern life.

Just as a worm transforms into a butterfly, the characters in Roopanthara undergo their own metamorphoses. The film beautifully captures the pain, growth, and eventual transformation each character experiences. The absence of names allows us to see these characters as universal archetypes. They could be anyone, emphasizing the relatability of their struggles. Director Mithilesh Edavalath's debut film impresses with its realistic portrayal of characters. Raj B. Shetty, Lekha Naidu, Somshekhar Bolegaon, and others deliver stellar performances.

Roopanthara stands out for its anthology format, interwoven stories, and exploration of human experiences. It prompts reflection on our own transformations, choices, and the impact we have on others. The ensemble cast delivers powerful performances, especially Lekha Naidu's silent yet impactful portrayal.
