The Lion and the Mouse
Once upon a time, there was a mighty lion that ruled over the jungle. He was feared by all the animals because of his great strength and sharp claws.
One day, as the lion was resting in the shade of a tree, a tiny mouse scurried across his path. The lion roared with laughter at the sight of such a small creature, and the mouse was terrified. But instead of crushing the mouse beneath his paw, the lion let it go, saying, "Such a tiny thing as you could never harm me."
The mouse was grateful for its life and scampered away into the bushes.
Later that day, the lion was caught in a hunter's trap. He roared and struggled, but he could not escape. Just when he thought all hope was lost, he heard a tiny squeaking sound. It was the mouse!
The mouse had heard the lion's roars and had come to help. It gnawed at the ropes of the trap with its sharp teeth, and eventually, the lion was freed.
The lion was astonished at the mouse's courage and kindness. He realized that even the smallest creatures can make a difference in the world. From that day on, the lion and the mouse became best friends, and they always looked out for each other.
Moral of the story:
- Never underestimate the power of kindness.
- Even the smallest acts can have a big impact.
- True friends come in all shapes and sizes.
