Moral story of the day

The Honest Cobbler

Once upon a time, there lived an honest cobbler named John. He had a small shop where he repaired shoes. John was known for his impeccable craftsmanship and unwavering honesty.

One day, a wealthy merchant came to John's shop with a pair of expensive boots that he needed repaired. As John examined the boots, he noticed that the merchant had accidentally left a small bag of money inside one of them.

Instead of keeping the money for himself, John immediately called out to the merchant and returned it to him. The merchant was so amazed by John's honesty that he not only paid John handsomely for his repair but also offered him a lifelong supply of leather for his shop.

Overjoyed, John thanked the merchant and continued to work hard in his shop. His honesty soon became the talk of the town, and people from far and wide came to him for their shoe repairs.

One day, a group of robbers planned to break into John's shop and steal his tools and money. However, when they heard stories of John's unwavering honesty, they decided to abandon their plan. They realized that even if they managed to break into his shop, they would not find anything of value, for John had no ill-gotten gains.

From that day forward, John's shop became a symbol of trust and integrity. People knew that anything left in his care would be safe, and his business flourished beyond his wildest dreams.

Moral of the Story:
